Sold
Rarest of all the
1950 Crestliner's in it's colour of Hawaiian Bronze
and Mahogany, this car was designed by
Auburn-Cord-Duisenberg Engineer, Gordon Buehrig. It
was built in November 1950 with only 17, 601 of the
Crestliner models built in the year 1950 and fewer
than 8000 built in 1951. It is believed that fewer
than 100 off these cars remain today. Showing 63000
miles, this car has had only four owners,. The
original owner was a spinster school teacher from
South Carolina; it has never been damaged, and was
restored in the 1980's. Unique to the Crestliner is
a factory vinyl roof, heater, radio, two tone dash,
4 spoke steering wheel, special chrome trim with
two tone paint and matching newer interior with
special wheel covers unique to this model. This car
runs like a dream and is a pleasure to drive. The
100 HP V8 starts and runs exceptionally well. It
has a manual 3-speed transmission. The car has its
original 6 volt system and is untouched and is not
customized in any fashion from the original
production model.
